Live Your Life In Color
Last week me and my friend decided to hang out but we had no idea what to do so we went to the fashion island mall and guess what , before heading out I annoyed her a bit and made her change two times. 😮 Now you may think what's the connection between this blog post and us going out. Keep reading ladies you'll know.
Now I don't have to tell you where we went, duh MACY'S 😉. I thought of doing some shopping window shopping tbh LOL 😮. Before I go any further let me tell you my friend likes color and me on the other side like to wear black all the time. Yes, black is my happy color. Moving on, we were going through every rack and pleading each other to try out things. My friend was suggesting different things to me to go and try and I was like I would really like it if it were in black. Now there, there, she looked at me and with a very annoying look and asked me to try some colors too but I do not wear much color.
There you go, now you know the connection. This week's blog post is about colors and what my dear friend suggested. Before I go into details about my look. I want to add that I had my doubts about wearing colors but not anymore.
Let's get into the details now. Here, I am wearing a green velvet dress from Boohoo from their plus size range. It's an open shoulder on one side and a tie on the other side. It looks like a wrap dress but it's not and has a cut that sits on your thigh. The fabric is very comfortable and stretchy. I normally wear size 14 but I decided to go up a size and ordered size 16 but to my surprise it was a bit loose for me. If you are thinking of buying anything from Boohoo be sure to follow their size chart and reviews and most importantly the fabric composition.
With this dress I decided to play with colors so I paired it with my yellow faux leather studded caviar crossbody handbag from BCBG Paris. See told ya I can wear colors too. Adding to my look are these cute black and white kitten heels are from Payless. It has an animal skin pattern on it with padded heels for more comfort. So, those who cannot wear high heels, this is for you.
Now that I look at myself wearing this dress in this color, I think I am in love with this color and all thanks to my friend who motivated me to try new things. If I can come out my comfort zone and feel good about wearing colors. You lovelies can too. Go out try new things and not care what others might think.
